With an established manufacturing footprint, strong brands and ambitious plans for continued growth, the business is looking for an exceptional sales leader to shape its customer strategy, accelerate profitable growth in Italy and identify opportunities to collaborate across the wider
group and develop new markets.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Senior Sales Director will lead the Italian sales organisation, strengthen strategic partnerships with the country's leading grocery retailers and identify new channels and markets for future growth.
This is a significant leadership appointment requiring someone who combines deep knowledge of the Italian grocery retail / GDO landscape, outstanding customer relationships and a proven track record of delivering profitable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute the sales and customer strategy for Italy.
- Build and strengthen senior relationships with Italy's leading grocery retailers.
- Lead major customer negotiations and commercial planning.
- Accelerate profitable growth across branded and private-label portfolios.
- Identify opportunities to enter and develop new markets and channels.
- Collaborate across the international group to unlock commercial opportunities, capabilities and customer relationships.
- Lead, develop and strengthen the sales organisation.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to turn customer opportunities into commercial results.
- Play an influential role within the Italian leadership team and wider international group.
The successful candidate will bring:
- Significant sales leadership experience within the Italian food industry.
- Deep knowledge of the Italian GDO landscape and established relationships with major grocery retailers.
- A strong track record of delivering profitable growth and leading complex customer negotiations.
- Experience developing new markets, channels or international customer opportunities.
- Experience across branded and/or private-label food.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- A track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams.
