Petroplan are looking to hire a Plant Manager to work for a major Renewables client in Milan.

This is a permanent staff role in the office with occasional site visits.
You will take a key role in managing the day to day operations and technical performance of their renewable energy plants in Poland.
In this role, you will work closely with both technical and operational teams, ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable plant performance while supporting continuous improvement across the assets.
You will report to the Head of Operations and become part of an international environment with strong competencies in renewable energy operations, engineering, and plant management.
As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Oversee thesafe, reliable and efficient operation of solar PV plants, maximising energy production, availability and performance ratio.
Manage and coordinateplant maintenance, repair activities and technical interventionsto ensure asset integrity and operational performance.
Supervise and manageO&M; contractors, maintenance providers and specialist suppliers,including scope, service delivery and SLA performance.
Review and approvetechnical and commercial proposals, ensuring solutions balance technical requirements, operational costs and production impact.
Manageincident resolution, work orders and operational issuesin coordination with monitoring and operational teams.
Monitorplant performance and operational KPIs, analysingproduction data and identifying underperformance or optimisation opportunities.
Ensurepreventive and predictive maintenance programmesare implemented effectively across assets.
Maintaintechnical documentation, plant data and operational reportingto ensure accurate asset records and compliance.
Ensurecompliance with local regulations, safety standards and company policies, including H&S; and ESG requirements.
Supportplant optimisation, retrofit, revamping or repowering initiativesand provide technical input into improvement projects where required.
Managelocal stakeholders and supporting service providerssuch as security, vegetation management and cleaning services.
Conductsite inspections and contractor oversightto ensure quality of work and operational standards.
Your experiences and education:
Degree qualified – in any related discipline.
Fluent in English & Hungarian is a must for this
Technical background
Worked in Renewable Energy sector
Experience managing the technical and operational performance of power generation assets.
Experience overseeing maintenance activities and asset integrity programmes.
Experience managing O&M; contractors, maintenance providers and external service suppliers.
Experience working with technical specifications, suppliers and contractors.
Experience managing service providers and stakeholder relationships.
Experience supporting technical retrofit, revamping or repowering initiatives and project activities.
Experience working with internal operational teams and external technical service providers.
