ph3Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Centre /h3pLocation: Italy /ppEmployment: Permanent /ppSector: Data Centres / Critical Infrastructure /ppA leading international engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major construction project in Italy.
/ppThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level electrical engineer with strong LV/MV and data centre experience to take responsibility for engineering activities across a major project, coordinating design through installation, testing and commissioning.
/ph3The Role /h3pWorking as part of an integrated project team, you will lead engineering and design management activities while working closely with the project, construction, BIM, design and supply chain teams.
/ppYou will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from design review and technical coordination through to installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
/ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead electrical design reviews, identifying design gaps, discrepancies and deviations from specifications.
/liliReview and validate cable sizing and provide technical recommendations.
/liliComplete technical assessments and resolve engineering issues efficiently.
/liliPrepare and manage electrical technical submittals through the approval process.
/liliCoordinate procurement, delivery and verification of electrical equipment.
/liliWork closely with BIM and design teams to ensure designs are fully constructible.
/liliLiaise with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors and project teams.
/liliMonitor engineering and construction progress against the project programme.
/liliCarry out electrical system walk-downs to verify installations against drawings and specifications.
/liliCompile test packs, FTOPs and OM documentation.
/liliManage specialist vendors throughout testing and commissioning.
/liliSupport client training and successful project handover.
/liliLead engineering design and design management activities.
/liliLead pre-construction engineering activities, including design development, construction details, services coordination and technical documentation.
/liliProvide technical support to construction, procurement, commercial, estimating and bid teams.
/liliProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.
/liliSupport continuous improvement of project QA and engineering processes.
/li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulli3rd-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
/lili7+ years' project engineering experience, ideally within construction.
/liliStrong experience with LV and MV electrical systems.
/liliProven experience delivering electrical projects within data centres, commercial,
industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
/liliStrong knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and standards, including BS****, IEC and EN standards, with ETCI and Building Regulations knowledge advantageous.
/liliExperience with Amtech, DIALux, AutoCAD 2D, Adobe Pro and MS Office.
/liliExperience managing clients, vendors, contractors and other project stakeholders.
/liliStrong experience producing technical submittals, design reviews and technical assessments.
/liliExperience carrying out electrical system walk-downs and verifying installations against specifications.
/liliStrong commercial awareness and project management capability.
/liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
