we are looking for a **Senior Google Cloud Architect / SRE** for a freelance engagement. /p pThis is not a full-time position. We are looking for an experienced freelance professional, initially engaged for an infrastructure review and reengineering project, followed by ongoing advisory support and on-call availability for critical incidents. /p pbKey responsibilities /b /pp • Assess and optimize the existing GCP architecture: VMs, networking, storage and cloud services /pp • Review and improve schedulers, cron jobs, batch processes and infrastructure automation /pp • Optimize cloud costs, resource sizing and billing controls /pp • Review IAM, service accounts, API keys, secrets, VPN and privileged access /pp • Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, backup and disaster-recovery procedures /pp • Introduce or improve Infrastructure as Code, and document architecture and operational runbooks /pp • Improve automation and scalability, and provide on-call support for critical infrastructure or security incidents /p pbRequired skills /b /pp • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially Compute Engine, IAM, networking and monitoring /pp • Solid Linux administration, troubleshooting and networking skills /pp • Experience with cloud security, IAM/least-privilege practices and incident response /pp • Practical experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools /p pbNice to have /b /pp • Cloud Scheduler / automated workloads, GitLab CI/CD, VPNs and backup/disaster recovery /pp • Previous experience supporting small, mission-critical production environments where reliability and rapid incident resolution are essential /p p Apply directly through LinkedIn. /p p #GoogleCloud #GCP #SRE #CloudArchitect #Terraform #CloudSecurity #DevOps #Freelance /p
