OverviewSenior Global Category Manager, Amazon Custom Modules. This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Services and the Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement (ISCaP) organization. The focus is on identifying, creating, developing and integrating innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure, and leading sourcing, pricing, geo‐diversity, and second‐source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency for AI / ML PCBA's added to the product roadmap. The role includes managing supplier qualification, contract manufacturing enablement, line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development to ensure scalable PCBA manufacturing capacity at launch. The position is located in Via Milano, Lombardy, ITALY.The base salary range and benefits are provided as part of the compensation package; final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location. Details on accommodations during the application process are available via Amazon's hiring information pages.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement interconnect strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.Understand industry and technology trends and drive supplier product roadmaps and strategic initiatives.Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts with cross‐functional stakeholders.Develop negotiation strategies to meet business objectives and foster sustainable supplier relationships.Manage capacity agreements and provide weekly core‐team updates and monthly executive updates.Manage vendor escalations to resolve category issues and present to senior leadership via written narratives.Basic Qualifications5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.5+ years of professional or military experience.Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.Experience managing programs across cross‐functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.Preferred QualificationsExperience interpreting data and making business recommendations.Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.Other InformationAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
