POSITION SUMMARY
The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food according to company standards. Working under the guidance of senior chefs, the Commis Chef ensures cleanliness, food safety, and quality in all kitchen operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills in a professional and fast-paced environment while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and food safety procedures.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Support senior chefs during service and daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Culinary School Degree.
- Basic culinary knowledge and passion for food.
- Previous related work experience is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies when required.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
