Forward Deployed Engineer
We are currently looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast growing AI company in Italy.
This is a hands-on engineering role combining software development, AI, integrations and direct customer interaction. You will work closely with enterprise customers to understand their needs, design technical solutions and bring AI-powered systems into production.

Location: Milan or Rome, Italy – hybrid, 4 days/week in the office
Contract: Permanent

What you will do
- Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their business and technical challenges.
- Translate complex and ambiguous requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Design, build and deploy AI-driven solutions and integrations.
- Work across APIs, systems and data flows to connect customer environments.
- Test solutions with real-world data and continuously improve their performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Take ownership of technical delivery from initial design through to production.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or a similar technical role.
- Strong software engineering and system design fundamentals.
- Experience working with integrations, APIs, systems and data flows.
- Experience building, deploying and maintaining production systems.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
- A hands-on mindset and strong sense of ownership.
- Interest in AI, automation and emerging AI-powered technologies.
