We are seeking a highly motivated intern (stagista) to join our Milan-based team for a six-month internship. This position offers hands-on exposure to healthcare consulting, physician market research, and the MedTech industry, working directly with both senior industry executives and leading physicians across Europe.
Position Overview The Market Research & Consulting Analyst Intern will support physician-focused market research projects across Europe. A primary responsibility will be identifying, recruiting, and engaging physicians to participate in surveys, interviews, and research panels, while supporting the collection, analysis, and reporting of market research data.
The role will focus predominantly on market research activities while also providing exposure to broader growth-focused consulting projects and client-facing engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Physician Recruitment & Panel Management
- Identify and recruit physicians across Europe to participate in market research studies.
- Use LinkedIn and other professional platforms to engage healthcare professionals and expand physician research panels.
- Build and maintain databases of physician contacts, with a primary focus on interventional cardiologists and other cardiovascular specialists.
- Coordinate survey invitations, participant communications, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality throughout research projects.
Market Research & Data Analysis
- Compile, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative market research data.
- Support the preparation of market research reports and client deliverables.
- Identify trends, insights, and key findings from physician feedback.
- Conduct secondary research on medical technologies, healthcare markets, competitors, and industry trends.
- Assist in developing strategic recommendations and actionable insights for clients.
Consulting & Client Support
- Create and update PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, workshops, and project deliverables.
- Assist with the coordination of client-facing activities and project timelines.
- Support the preparation and execution of physician advisory boards, workshops, and consulting engagements.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and internal strategic projects.
- Undertake additional administrative, operational, and consulting-related tasks as required.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or in progress) in Market Research, Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong interest in healthcare, medical technology, and consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and online research tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Attendance at an international or bilingual school, or equivalent international educational experience.
- Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Previous experience in market research, consulting, healthcare, or business analysis.
- Familiarity with survey platforms and data analysis tools.
- Interest in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, or the MedTech sector.
