Data/Performance Junior Engineer
We are a team racing in the F4, FIA F3 and FIA F2 categories. We are seeking skilled data/performance junior profiles to join our motorsport team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work at the cutting edge of motorsport technology, ensuring our race cars perform at peak levels on and off the track.
Role Overview
At the workshop the data/performance junior engineer will be integrated in our performance group, under supervision of our Head of Performance and category Lead Engineer, and will participate in tasks related to car systems setup and maintenance, bench tests, lifing, general event preparation and reporting, data analysis, development of performance analysis, simulation or lifing tools, simulation and DIL activities.
During official race or test events, depending category this position will be remote from our office connected room (data/radio) or directly on-track.
Remote or track activities will include tasks related to data process, timing analysis, competitors analysis, data vital reports, KPI production, parts lifing, pitstop analysis, competitors analysis.
On-Track activity will add tasks related to garage installation, systems, radio and IT infrastructure, car preparation and maintenance, legality and wear checks.
Note that our data/performance junior engineers may also be involved in additional on-track activities on private testing to grab experience.
Requirements
- Strong team player with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Some experience in a similar role in Motorsport, possibly from previous internship,
- Ability to make quick, data-driven, and rational decisions under tight deadlines
- Student in final year internship or graduated of Engineering or Master's degree with strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, tires, and aerodynamics
- Ability to travel regularly to all race and test events
Extra
- Hands-on experience as mechanic, on electrical and data logging systems (looms, sensors, repairs and welding), metrology, 3D scanning, CAD design and 3D printing, bench testing, damper or clutch characterization
- Experience in racing simulations and simulators,
- Experience with racing tools (data software such as MM, data management, simulation tools, KPIs, etc.)

He must be flexible and willing to undertake reasonable additional duties beyond its immediate responsibilities, particularly during demanding event periods, unexpected operational situations, or whenever doing so is necessary to support teammates and achieve the team's objectives.
