We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Automotive E/E Failure Analysis Engineer to provide high quality support to our customers
This will make you grow:
- You will oversee the tracking and analysis of whole-vehicle integration testing, managing system issues and customer complaints;
- Take part in the evaluation of issues with all involved stakeholders (Test Managers, Testers, Component/System Owners, EE platform Architects, Suppliers, etc.);
- Analyze integration, diagnostics, low-level communications, and end-to-end functional behaviours;
- Perform root cause analysis to isolate faults across software, electrical, electronic, and hardware levels;
- Support data collection and data analysis to coordinate the resolution process of new failures within a cross functional team;
- Steer analysis activities and autonomously perform replication tests when required;
- Develop, setup, and maintain custom tools and scripts to automate input tracking and analysis;
- Manage physical testing tools (e.g., data loggers) and resulting log files.
- Manage documentation to record test configurations and signal values to provide clear evidence of root causes;
- Coordinate and steer periodical alignment meeting with stakeholders from different departments to improve testing input quality.
- Monitor lifecycle of bug tickets to promptly address and correct potential rejections;
- Maintain updated statistics and performance KPIs on issues and analysis activities;
And this is how you'll take us forward:
- Technical degree, preferably in Electrics or Electronics Engineering or equivalent;
- Strong background in whole-vehicle integration, automotive electronics, and testing methodologies;
- Ability to develop custom scripting tools to optimize workflows;
- Proficiency in analyzing log files, diagnostic reports, and media;
- Familiarity with automotive standards and ticketing systems;
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols (CANbus, LINbus, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet), diagnostic standards (OBD-II/EOBD, KWP2000, UDS, DoIP) and engineering toolchains such as Vector (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape), dSPACE, ETAS and MathWorks (MATLAB/Simulink);
- Good knowledge of Italian and English language (written and spoken)
Total compensation:
- Gross annual salary (RAL): €25.000 – €40.000 (determined on the basis of objective, neutral, and verifiable criteria)
- Lavoro da remoto: individual remote working agreements
- Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) with flexibility
