Key accountabilitiesprovide subject?matter expertise on classification principles, regulatory frameworks and industry standards
monitor developments and recommend improvements
conduct detailed surveys and inspections of classed ships, offshore installations and marine assets, verifying compliance with classification society rules and statutory requirements
prepare precise reports and certificates that meet organisational and regulatory standards
plan, schedule and oversee surveying activities, optimise resources and mentor junior surveyors
build and maintain client relationships, offering expert consultation and resolving technical issues
implement rigorous quality?assurance measures and uphold the highest ethical standards
Education & qualificationsmaster's degree in naval engineering
minimum 3 years as a surveyor or 6 years in engineering/inspection with an iacs member classification society
proficiency in english
knowledge xysqume of rina rules, classification statutes, shipbuilding practices and ship operations
ability to perform new?building and in?service surveys, issue certificates and reports, and conduct audits of marine management systems
