A safari lodge in Musina, Limpopo is seeking an experienced and qualified Sous Chef to join their culinary team.

The successful candidate will support the Head Chef with the daily kitchen operation, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Recognised Chef qualification
- Previous Sous Chef experience in a lodge or quality hospitality environment
- Strong food preparation and presentation skills
- Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and kitchen cost management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Professional attitude and attention to detail

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:




- Assist with the daily running of the kitchen
- Prepare and present high-quality meals
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation
- Conduct stock takes and assist with ordering
- Monitor food costs and minimise wastage
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Assist with training and supervision of kitchen staff
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all meals
- Support the Head Chef with the overall kitchen operation

PACKAGE:
- Salary Negotiable (DOE)
- Live-in accommodation provided
