Hill International is seeking an Immigration - VISA and Work Permit Specialist to manage and support the visa and immigration processes for employees and consultants for international projects in Italy . The Immigration specialist will ensure full compliance with national and European immigration laws, coordinate with internal departments and external agencies, and facilitate smooth onboarding and mobility of international staff. Responsibilities Coordinate the preparation and submission of visa and work permit applications for expatriate staff, including renewals and extensions. Liaise with local authorities and immigration offices. Ensure compliance with all immigration regulations and legal requirements in the host country (Italy) . Maintain accurate records of visas, work permits, residence permits, and related documents. Monitor expiration dates and proactively manage renewals. Support international hires with visa and relocation processes. Communicate clearly with staff regarding timelines, document requirements, and procedures. Coordinate with legal consultants as needed.
Coordinate logistics arrangements in country (Italy) . Generate regular reports on visa and permit status. The role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of Human Resources functions, providing excellent prospects for professional growth and development. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or Legal or other related discipline. Previous Experience in a Human Resources Department will be considered an asset. Previous experience in visa coordination or immigration support, preferably in an international consultancy environment will be preferred Strong understanding of EU visa and work permit regulations. Excellent knowledge of the Italian language. Strong communication skills in English ; additional languages are an asset. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. #J
