MAW S.p.A. – Search & Selection Division, on behalf of a multinational company and global leader in the design and supply of highly automated industrial plants, is looking for a:
Process Technologist (Hot Rolling)
The successful candidate will join the international Process Engineering team and will be involved in the development, optimization, and commissioning of steelmaking plants for customers worldwide.
Working closely with the Automation, Mechanical Engineering, and Process Engineering teams, the Process Technologist will contribute to improving process performance and supporting plant start-up and ramp-up activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize hot rolling process parameters.
- Support the development, validation, and optimization of process models.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to improve process control strategies and control logic.
- Support commissioning, plant start-up, and ramp-up activities at customer sites worldwide.
- Perform technical troubleshooting during start-up and commissioning phases.
- Analyze process data and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work within multidisciplinary international teams on complex industrial projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering,
Materials Engineering, Automation Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Process Technologist, Process Specialist, or in a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of hot rolling processes within the steel industry.
- Experience in process modelling and simulation.
- Hands-on experience with plant commissioning and start-up activities.
- Good command of the English language.
- Willingness to travel internationally.

- Gross Annual Salary (RAL): €70.000-80.000, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
