Overview

As Lead HSE Design Engineer you will direct the HSE engineering activities across international oil & gas projects, embedding health, safety and environmental requirements in the full engineering lifecycle. You will act as the technical authority for HSE design, coordinating interfaces across disciplines and guiding compliant safety solutions for complex facilities. You’ll lead major HSE studies and approve critical deliverables to ensure risk-based, compliant designs. This role offers influence over project safety strategy and technical leadership in a multicultural setting.

Responsabilità

- Lead and coordinate all HSE engineering and design activities for projects while aligning with objectives, schedule and quality
- Serve as primary technical authority for HSE design within the project organization
- Plan, facilitate and supervise key HSE studies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Classification, LOPA, Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments, Fire & Gas Detection Mapping, Escape/Rescue, QRA, RAM, SIMOPS)
- Approve HSE deliverables produced internally or by third parties (Haz Op Reports, SIL Assessments,



Fire Protection layouts, Hazardous Area Classifications, etc.)
- Ensure effective integration of HSE requirements across Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Civil disciplines
- Participate in project reviews and management meetings (HAZOP, 3D model review) and propose practical mitigations

Requisiti fondamentali

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE engineering experience in Oil & Gas
- Experience in multicultural and international project environments
- Strong understanding of process safety principles and risk-based design approaches
- Very good command of English (written and spoken)
