Overview
As an Operational Buyer at GEA, you will manage daily procurement to secure timely materials and services for production, maintain precise ERP records, and liaise with suppliers and internal teams to uphold on-time delivery. You will drive negotiations, monitor supplier performance and procurement KPIs, and implement process improvements to boost efficiency. This role supports operational excellence within a structured industrial setting and contributes to the company’s manufacturing goals. Responsabilità
- Handle daily procurement activities for direct and/or indirect materials and services
- Issue, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain purchasing data and supplier information in ERP systems
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams
- Monitor inventory levels and act to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Support supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, and service levels
- Track and report supplier performance through KPIs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Requisiti fondamentali
- 2-5 years in Purchasing, Procurement, or related field in manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle or similar)
- Understanding of procurement, inventory, and supplier management
- Experience in international/matrix organizations is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial
- CCNL Metalworking Industry with level based on experience and skills
- Salary range 28,000–31,000 EUR gross per year with potential variable components and benefits
