For the Malta site we are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer – NPI (Backend Manufacturing) . The

Senior Process Engineer leads and manages the successful industrialization of new semiconductor packages in high-volume backend manufacturing (assembly and testing). This role focuses on process development, optimization, qualification and the smooth transition of new products from development to volume production in adherence to business targets. ResponsabilitàDuties & Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design,

develop, qualify, and industrialize new assembly processes for semiconductor packaging across various market segments: Industrial, Automotive, and Space. Lead the transition of new process designs from the initial project phase (sample prototype | conceptual design) to high-volume production. Learn and apply advanced engineering process design methodologies (DOE, advanced statistical analysis, AI/ML) to establish robust and scalable processes.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: R&D;, Product Quality, Product Engineering,

and suppliers (materials and equipment).



Mentor process technicians and junior engineers serve as technical references and guidance for the production team during the ramp-up phase. ProfiloSkills & Qualifications The ideal candidate shall: Education :

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (Materials, Mechanical,

Electrical) or a science-related field. Experience :

Minimum of 5 years' industrial experience in the manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of semiconductor backend manufacturing technology and experience working in an advanced technology manufacturing facility are assets. Skills :

Strong knowledge in Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode and Effects

Analysis (FMEA) and hands-on problem solving. Leadership Qualities : able to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.

The expected salary range for this position is between 35,000 and 48,000 gross per year, depending on experience and the level of seniority within the organization. Applications from candidates with more extensive experience and higher salary expectations will also be taken into consideration. A comprehensive relocation package is also provided to support candidates moving to Malta.
