APP Group is looking for a Senior Tissue Technical Manager to lead the research, development and optimisation of tissue products for the European market. The role works across R&D;, mills, customers and commercial teams to develop competitive products, improve product and manufacturing performance, ensure European compliance and support the growth of APP's European Tissue business.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Research & Development :
Lead the development and improvement of tissue products, including product specifications, testing, benchmarking and innovation, to meet European customer and market requirements. 2. European Standards & Compliance :
Ensure products meet relevant European regulations, certifications, quality standards and customer requirements, while monitoring changes in regulatory, industry and sustainability requirements. 3. Technical Support & Product Optimisation :
Work with APP mills to improve product performance, quality, machine capability and production efficiency, including technical problem-solving, root-cause analysis and optimisation initiatives. 4. Customer & Cross-functional Support:
Work with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, mills and customers on product requirements, customer trials, technical discussions, product evaluations and complaint resolution. 5. Business Growth Support :
Develop technical solutions, value-added products and product roadmaps that support the growth and competitiveness of APP's European Tissue business. 6. Management & Technical Reporting :
Provide management with product performance analysis,
technical reports and recommendations relating to product development, improvement and technical investment.
What We Are Looking For: 10+ years of relevant technical experience in tissue manufacturing, product development, R&D;, technical service, quality management or a related field. We will also consider senior technical professionals from machinery, equipment, chemical or technology companies supplying products or solutions directly to the tissue industry. Strong knowledge of tissue product technology and manufacturing processes. Experience in product development, testing, validation, optimisation and technical problem-solving. Knowledge of European product standards, regulations and customer requirements. A Bachelor's degree in Paper Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related engineering discipline is preferred. A Master's degree is an advantage. Experience working with mills, customers and technical stakeholders. Strong understanding of raw materials and fibre technology relevant to tissue products. Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills. Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
The Opportunity: This is a senior technical role combining product development, R&D;, mill optimisation and customer technical support, with a direct contribution to the growth of APP's European Tissue business.
