ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bSenior Process Engineer - Categorie Protette /b to join its office in Genoa, Rozzano or Milan within the bPlant Engineering /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pWe are looking for a Senior Process Engineer, registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99., who will lead and oversee process engineering activities within our energy projects. The Senior Process Engineer will play a key role in process design, optimization, and project execution, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our energy assets. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liLead and execute process engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept studies to FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and operational support. /li liDevelop and review key process engineering deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), Heat Material Balances, Process Datasheets, Cause Effect Diagrams, Process Descriptions, and Operating Philosophies. /li liPerform and supervise process simulations, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, flare and relief system studies, and other process design analyses using industry-standard software tools. /li liEnsure all process engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, company procedures, and client specifications. /li /ul h3Provide Technical Leadership and Expertise /h3 ul liAct as the technical focal point for process engineering within multidisciplinary project teams. /li liProvide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior and intermediate process engineers. /li liReview, validate, and approve engineering calculations, design documents, and technical reports. /li liSupport proposal preparation, scope definition, man-hour estimation, and technical bid evaluations. /li /ul h3Deliver Excellence in Energy Transition and Industrial Projects /h3 ul liLead process engineering activities for projects related to Oil Gas, LNG, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture Storage (CCS), Power Generation, and other energy transition initiatives. /li liContribute to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions that enhance project value and operational performance.

/li liEvaluate alternative technologies and process configurations to optimize safety, operability, efficiency, and lifecycle costs. /li /ul h3Process Optimization and Operational Support /h3 ul liConduct process assessments, debottlenecking studies, troubleshooting activities, and performance improvement initiatives. /li liSupport plant start-up, commissioning, performance testing, and operational troubleshooting. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve process efficiency, energy consumption, reliability, and environmental performance. /li /ul h3Ensure Process Safety and Regulatory Compliance /h3 ul liIntegrate process safety principles into all engineering activities. /li liParticipate in or lead HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and other risk assessment studies. /li liEnsure compliance with applicable international standards, industry best practices, environmental regulations, and client requirements. /li liSupport the development of safe and operable plant designs through the application of recognized engineering practices. /li /ul h3Collaborate with Stakeholders and Drive Project Delivery /h3 ul liWork effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams. /li liInterface with clients, vendors, licensors, and external stakeholders on technical matters. /li liProvide clear and effective communication of engineering solutions, project risks, and recommendations. /li liContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and the development of engineering best practices across the organization. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Chemical Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato) /li li+8 years of experience in process engineering within the energy industry. /li liProven track record of leading process design and optimization projects from conception to completion.

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between b€40,000 and €50,000 /b and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies, and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
