This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Payments Specialist based in Italy.
The Clinical Payments Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of global investigator payments across assigned clinical studies.
You will oversee payment setup, deployment, reconciliation, forecasting, reporting, and study closeout while ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
The role connects investigative sites, clinical research teams, finance functions, project teams, and external sponsors.
You’ll analyze payment data, identify discrepancies and trends, and help improve financial and revenue-cycle processes.
The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive financial information across complex international studies.
You will also contribute to audits, inspections, stakeholder meetings, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities
Manage investigator payments end-to-end for assigned global clinical studies, including payment setup, deployment, ongoing management, and study closeout.
Collect required information from relevant teams, systems, and tools in a timely and proactive manner to support accurate payment processing.
Review global contract terms, study budgets, and payment schedules to ensure investigative site payments comply with Clinical Trial Agreements.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies identified across multiple sources, including underpayments and overpayments.
Perform payment reconciliations at required intervals and maintain accurate financial records.
Analyze budgeted versus actual investigator payment spend and communicate findings to project teams and relevant stakeholders.
