Your Role
The Indirect Category Buyer is responsible for the operational procurement of indirect goods and services while managing assigned procurement categories. The role ensures timely, compliant and cost-effective purchasing, supports internal stakeholders and contributes to supplier performance, category development, contract management and continuous improvement. Working closely with Category Managers and business stakeholders, the Category Buyer drives operational excellence, cost optimization and sustainable procurement in alignment with corporate procurement policies and ESG objectives.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Operational Procurement
Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies.
Ensure timely procurement of indirect goods and services (e.g. facility management, IT, professional services, logistics, marketing, HR, CapEx, MRO).
Monitor order confirmations, delivery dates and invoice-related issues.
Resolve procurement-related operational issues and escalate risks where required.
Stakeholder Support
Act as the primary operational procurement contact for assigned business functions.
Advise internal stakeholders on procurement processes, preferred suppliers and purchasing guidelines.
Support demand planning and purchasing activities for recurring business needs.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval workflows.
