What We Are Looking For
For a leading international Defence company based in Rome, we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced real-time systems.
The role offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work with periodic onsite presence in Rome.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain embedded software components
Implement real-time applications for mission-critical systems
Develop low-level software, middleware and communication interfaces
Collaborate with hardware, system and validation teams
Support software integration and debugging activities
Contribute to software verification and validation processes
Produce technical documentation according to industry standards
Requirements
Mandatory:
Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or similar
Experience in Embedded Software Development
Good knowledge of C and/or C++
Knowledge of Linux Embedded environments
Experience with software debugging and troubleshooting
Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies
Good English communication skills
Preferred
RTOS (VxWorks, QNX, FreeRTOS)
Device Driver development
TCP/IP networking
UML
Git
CI/CD environments
previous experience in Defence, Aerospace or Railway field
