Photocert is a media forensics company building advanced AI solutions that detect and localize tampering in digital images and PDFs. Our technology helps insurance companies and enterprise clients verify the authenticity of submitted content at scale.
Role Description We are looking for a Senior Cloud Backend Developer to join our cloud engineering team. You will design and build scalable serverless services in a production AWS environment, working closely with our senior international team on a platform that processes large volumes of media in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build serverless backend services using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and DynamoDB
- Implement secure authentication and authorisation flows with AWS Cognito and OAuth2/OIDC
- Build and maintain asynchronous processing pipelines for document and image workloads




- Contribute to API design and backend architecture decisions
- Integrate AI/LLM tooling to improve code quality and development workflows
- Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering standard

Qualifications
- Fluent in English / Polish
- 5+ years of backend development, with at least 3 years in AWS serverless environments
- Strong Node.js / TypeScript / Python
- DynamoDB data modelling (GSI/LSI, access patterns)
- Python for scripting and data processing
- Security best practices: JWT, IAM, secrets management
- Working knowledge of DevOps practices — CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and infrastructure as code
