Build and modernize business applications across the full technology stack—from backend services and APIs to responsive user interfaces and cloud deployment in Microsoft Azure. This English-speaking position in Lisbon is suited to an experienced developer who can work independently, contribute to technical decisions and turn business requirements into secure, scalable solutions. You will join an international team using modern DevOps practices, automation and AI-assisted development tools. Your responsibilities * Develop and maintain full-stack applications using .NET, C#, React or Vue.js, and TypeScript, * Design reliable REST APIs and backend services with ASP.NET and ASP.NET Web API, * Build secure and scalable solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault and Blob Storage, * Translate business requirements into practical, high-quality technical solutions, * Work with product, engineering and other cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, * Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Azure DevOps, * Support the migration and modernization of existing applications, * Contribute to architectural improvements and cloud-native development, * Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery without compromising security, scalability or code quality. Your background * Strong professional experience in full-stack development with C#, .NET Core/.NET and ASP.NET Web API, * Practical experience with React and/or Vue.js, component-based development and modern state-management approaches, * Solid knowledge of TypeScript, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core and database optimization, * Experience designing, developing and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure, * Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows and current software-development practices,
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, * Ability to work autonomously while keeping technical decisions aligned with business needs, * Fluent written and spoken English. Additional skills that would be valuable * Event-driven architecture or distributed systems, * Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ, * Docker, Azure Container Apps or Azure Kubernetes Service, * Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep, * AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
