About the Role:
As a Senior Category Buyer – Consumer Health, Beauty & Supplements , you will be part of the Strategic Procurement Italy team, driving commercial performance across pharmacy-related assortments such as OTC, supplements, and cosmetics. You will lead supplier negotiations, optimize commercial conditions, and build strong partnerships, contributing to the growth of the Italian market in close collaboration with international procurement teams.
Job Description
- About your tasks:
- Drive supplier contribution improvements, including end-of-year agreements and commercial contributions;
- Optimize rebates on invoices and maximize payment terms;
- Negotiate and manage promotional plans with suppliers to support commercial performance;
- Independently lead annual supplier negotiations as well as in-year renegotiations after the onboarding phase;
- Manage a broad supplier portfolio and substantial purchasing volumes;
- Oversee purchasing activities across multiple product categories.
Qualifications
About You:
- Solid experience in buying, strategic purchasing, or category management, with direct responsibility for supplier negotiations and commercial terms.
- Mandatory background in one or more of the following sectors: pharma retail, para-pharmacy, dermocosmetics, cosmetics, food supplements, or beauty.
- Proven experience in managing suppliers, negotiating commercial conditions, and supporting category growth in a fast-moving retail or wholesale environment.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and stakeholder communication skills.
