The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the Business Development team and supporting the commercial growth of EDP's distributed generation and energy solutions business in Italy.
The role combines leadership, technical-commercial expertise, project development, bid management and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will manage a multidisciplinary team responsible for the preparation, costing and negotiation of complex energy solutions including photovoltaic plants (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), grid connection and electrical infrastructure upgrades, e-mobility solutions and other distributed energy projects.
The Business Development Manager acts as a key link between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Delivery,
Asset Management and senior management, ensuring that competitive, technically sound and financially viable solutions are delivered to customers.
Lead, mentor and develop the Business Development team.
Ensure high quality and timely preparation of commercial offers, tenders and technical proposals.
Foster collaboration across departments and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Support Sales teams in developing business opportunities and converting prospects into projects.
Participate in customer meetings, commercial negotiations and technical workshops.
Build strong relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
Support strategic decision-making throughout the sales cycle.
Bid & Proposal Management
Oversee the preparation of bids, tenders and commercial offers for private and public customers.
Coordinate technical, commercial and contractual reviews before submissio
