Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Installation Engineer.
The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. Accountabilities Identify contract requirements in terms of equipment and cableways installation design and monitor their compliance within the assigned Project. Design, Coordinate and verify the installation design of the main railway systems technologies (Signalling,
Power Supply and Traction Power, Overhead Contact Line, Telecommunications, Automatic Fare Collection, Security/Surveillance, Public Address, etc.), ensuring its compliance with the contract, system requirements, and local regulations.
Design, coordinate and verify the cableways layout and cable routes within technical rooms and along the track system, managing filling ratios, challenging existing pathways, and proposing new ones. Cooperate with BIM Manager and BIM Coordinator in the definition of all required information to define equipment BIM models, based on the target level of development identified in the BIM Execution Plan.
Ensure the application of quality procedures for document issuance at every stage of design. Identify critical issues in project development and propose mitigation actions. Represent the installation engineering team and support design choices with the client. Proficiently use
