The Cost Engineer plays a critical role in driving the business case for HPDI components within Cespira by supporting both cost reduction initiatives and pricing strategies. This hybrid role is responsible for analyzing product costs, driving cost management and reduction, and aligning those efforts with competitive pricing strategies to optimize the profitability and competitiveness of our HPDI products.
The Product Cost Engineer responsibilities include completing techno-economic analysis that considers the impact of automated production equipment, supply chain availability/localization/impacts, operational overhead, operational strategy, material choice, cleanliness levels, manufacturability in different processes and component design to validate business cases for new products and capital investments. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of managing product cost in a design, engineering and manufacturing environment. The role requires a robust analytical skill set and proficiency with cost management tools. Candidates should also possess the ability to address a multitude of administrative support needs promptly and professionally.
Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or other related field of study
