Summary:
About the Position:
You will decontaminate, prepare, sterilize, store, and issue the full range of sterile dental/medical supplies and equipment used in a Dental Clinic.

Duties:
- Perform daily quality assurance testing on all equipment used in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Prepare contaminated surgical items for sterilization procedures.
- Test, flush and clean, laparoscopic instruments’ insulation and suction ports.
- Package surgical items individually (e.g., scissors, tubing, gauze) or assembled into trays and sets.
- Conduct equipment testing of surgical instruments to ensure operational efficiency and surgical precision
- Package instruments based on the sterilization method
- Select and arrange instruments on tray or pan in a logical manner
- Conduct inventory of sterilized trays
- Examines items and instruments for damage, deterioration or imperfection

Conditions of employment:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- This position is identified as Inclement Weather Essential which may require you to report to work or remain at work during inclement weather conditions.
- Required to work days, evenings, nights, rotating shifts, extended hours, weekends, holidays or other schedules common to hospital operations. May be member in charge of a team or a sole worker on weekend/evening/night assignments.
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certification required based on Defense Health Agency instructions and guidance within allott
