Job Overview
Electric Drive Modules (EDM / eAxles) are x‑in‑1 propulsion systems used in BEV and HEV/PHEV architectures, integrating electric motor, gearbox and power electronics.
The EDM Design Release Engineer is responsible for EDM system development and design release from concept to production, ensuring subsystem integration and alignment with global platforms and multi‑brand applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead EDM design, development and release, including gearbox, motor integration and system architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, power electronics, transmission, manufacturing) to ensure system performance, integration and durability
- Define and manage DFMEA, DVP and system specifications (SSTS/TTS)
- Drive system optimization (efficiency, weight, cost, manufacturability)
- Lead system-level problem solving and root cause analysis
