As Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible for leading the commercial development of strategic opportunities within the IET Industrial Power Generation business. The role owns the end-to-end proposal strategy, until the contract finalization, for complex and high-value projects, ensuring competitive, profitable, and customer-focused solutions.
Working across sales, engineering, project execution, and finance teams,
the successful candidate will drive bid strategy, commercial risk assessment, pricing governance, and proposal execution to maximize win rates and business profitability.
This role is suited to a seasoned commercial professional looking to influence business growth through deal leadership rather than direct account ownership.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Lead the preparation of commercial proposals for large and complex Power Systems opportunities coordinating multidisciplinary proposal teams..
Define bid strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
Coordinate inputs from engineering, product management, supply chain, and service teams.
Ensure proposals are complete, compliant, competitive, and submitted on time.
Support strategic pursuits from early engagement through contract award.
