At Black & White Engineering, you'll join a team at the forefront of mission-critical infrastructure design, delivering hyperscale and colocation data centres for leading global technology clients. Based in Milan, you'll play a key role in shaping resilient, efficient and sustainable mechanical systems that support the critical environments powering today's digital economy.
As a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across complex projects, influencing design decisions from concept through to delivery. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you'll help deliver innovative cooling, ventilation and thermal management solutions that support the operational demands of modern data centres.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems for mission-critical projects.
Develop and review technical calculations, specifications and engineering reports.
Design HVAC, cooling, ventilation and water-based systems for hyperscale and colocation data centres.
Coordinate with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team.
Drive innovation and engineering excellence while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
Essential Skills
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience delivering mechanical building services design projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water, cooling and ventilation systems.
