Exide Technologies is a leading provider of advanced energy storage solutions for the automotive and industrial markets. It designs, manufactures and markets current and next-generation battery technologies used in a wide range of applications and serves global markets with world-class battery technologies, technical expertise and value-added services under many well-known brands. Exide is looking for a Quality Engineer reporting to the Supervisor Internal Quality Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving product and process quality standards through performance monitoring, non-conformity management, problem-solving coordination and operational support to production. The role will work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance and the Quality Team to identify, analyze and resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Main tasks:
- Monitor quality performance of production lines and analyze quality KPIs (scrap, defects, complaints, PPM, blocked material);
- Manage internal non-conformities and ensure the effectiveness of corrective actions;
- Coordinate and lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa and Root Cause Analysis;
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including Control Plans, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards and Visual Aids;
- Participate in PFMEA activities and support risk analysis reviews and improvement actions;
- Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) and support internal, customer and certification audits;
- Deliver quality training to operators and team leaders, promoting a strong quality culture across the plant;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce process variability.
