The Opportunity
Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Linux Administrator to join our global team in supporting Allegro’s high‑performance Engineering Simulation environment. This role is critical to our product development cycle, as you will manage the infrastructure that allows our IC design engineers to simulate and verify the next generation of sensing and power technologies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Linux operating system in an enterprise environment, coupled with outstanding customer service skills and the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable language for non‑technical stakeholders.
What You Will Do
In this role,
you will be responsible for the operational support, maintenance, and evolution of our global Linux infrastructure. You will work closely with our corporate EDA group to ensure all standards are met and that our simulation clusters are running at peak efficiency.
- Plan, install, and provide daily support for all managed customer Linux environments, including both virtualized and physical systems.
- Collaborate with the global EDA operations team to resolve service incidents and ensure high availability for engineering design applications such as Cadence and Cliosoft.
- Perform server administration duties including installing, configuring, and testing servers, applying errata and hot fixes, and automating operational procedures.
- Administer Dell EMC VxRail platforms using VMware/vSphere technology. Build and deploy virtual machines and templates while managing Isilon storage platforms and SAN concept
