Job description Avnet, Inc. a Fortune 500 company and one of the global leaders in the field of electronic components distribution, is seeking a highly motivated French Speaking Accountant to join our South Europe Accounting Team based in Milan. The successful candidate will drive innovation and deliver excellence in a fast-paced, international environment. The hired person will be involved in Finance and Accounting activities for the French entities of the Avnet Group . Our new team member will be someone with proven experience in finance, asset, and payment processes . SAP experience is considered an advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the companies
- Overview the automated processes for sales, purchases, AR, AP
- Non-Trade Accounts payables, prime entries
- Cash management and reporting, support payment preparation.
- Maintain and reviewing financial records,



including Fixed Assets Ledger, payroll postings, month end closing accruals
- Intercompany and bank reconciliation.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and recording transactions
- General accounting, VAT return, in liaison with local tax and legal consultants ensuring correct calculation of monthly VAT and correct calculation of the taxable income; VAT reports, Journal Book, and other indirect tax returns.
- Interact directly with the auditors to discuss and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
- Maintain strong knowledge of accounting and finance practices
- Continuous improvement of processes and controls.
- Support on ad hoc projects
- Enhancing the tools and processes.

The Ideal Person:
- Proven experience in a Finance and Accounting roles
- Fluent in English, Italian, and French.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in general and tax accounting.
