Role Purpose
The Field Services team is responsible for the delivery of services all over the region for field, fibre and facilities. We cover all technologies (infrastructure, transmission, IP and Voice) and follow structured processes to provide our customers with fast delivery timescales while guaranteeing a quality level compliant with Interoute’s goals of performance and cost effectiveness.
The Field & Facility Engineer is responsible for autonomously delivering the day to day facility & field activities associated with implementation and network build projects, for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce, maintain, manage and report upon network build and customer projects
- Support the development and design of the network and its expansion
- To carry out network migration activities (outside normal hours, on an occasional basis)
- To ensure that all design changes, works documents, new network deployment and customer deployments are executed as per design process.
- To provide local multi-vendor telecom field operations and maintenance services, in order to ensure industry leading service performance.
- To support and ensure a smooth customer experience in conjunction with the Pre-Sales, Service Delivery and Post-Sales teams for all regional orders.
- Manage and maintain integrity of data in the EXA systems
- Ensure projects within remit are delivered to technical standards
- Support facilities equipment installations for products and customers within assigned sites and perform facilities related Planned Works raised by the Network Operations Centre as required.
- Act as key Delegate and Escalation partner for Field for the country.
- Provide training and mentoring to Field team members.
- Provide support to Pre-sales & Bid management for quotations and large opportunities.
