SOFTWARE ENGINEER
JOB OVERVIEW
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of Leaf Space’s Business team projects: our commercial customer portal and billing platform. Working closely with senior engineers, the Product Owner, and stakeholders, you will help implement new features, improve existing functionality, and gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and test new features, including RESTful APIs for billing software and intuitive user interfaces for the customer portal.
Support the development lifecycle of software features, from design to deployment
Develop backend services, business logic, and integrations with commercial systems
Build and maintain frontend applications using Vue.js to support operational and commercial workflows
Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Integrate third-party services and internal systems via APIs
Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and ensure system reliability
Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation
Contribute to system improvements and performance optimization initiatives
Use GitLab for version control, collaboration, and code reviews
Maintain CI/CD pipelines
QUALIFICATIONS AND STUDIES
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Equivalent practical experience in software development is also considered
REQUIREMENTS
Tech skills
1-3 years of experience in software development
Good knowledge of Python and JavaScript
Experience with at least one frontend framework (preferably Vue.js)
Understanding of API design and integration
Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized applications
Interest in cloud technologies and modern software development methodologies
Nice-to-have:
Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP or similar)
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of system integration and mic
