As we continue our growth journey, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Team Lead to lead our operations team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day business.
Your Role
As Operations Team Lead, you will oversee freight forwarding operations, support and develop a small team, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery. This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable managing people, improving processes, and handling operational activities when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily activities of the Operations department
- Support, coach, and develop a small team of operations professionals
- Actively participate in day-to-day operational activities, including import and export shipments
- Drive operational excellence by reviewing and improving processes and workflows
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations
- Monitor operational performance and control costs while maintaining service quality
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, agents, suppliers, and other logistics partners
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical, effective solutions
- Collaborate closely with commercial and management teams to support business growth
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations
- Experience across sea freight, air freight, and/or multimodal transport is an advantage
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to lead by example
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Customer-focused and proactive approach
