We are looking for a Senior Commercial Shipping Manager who can lead strategic shipping initiatives while overseeing high-value client relationships and operational performance. This is not simply a coordination role. You will help shape the commercial direction of our shipping division, working closely with port authorities, freight partners, international clients, and internal operations teams. **Commercial Shipping Strategy**: Lead and oversee commercial shipping operations, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and compliance with international maritime regulations. **Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping partners, freight clients, logistics providers, and port authorities to support long-term commercial success. **Operational Oversight**: Coordinate vessel schedules, cargo movement planning, route optimization, and shipping documentation processes across multiple operational channels. **Team Leadership**: Manage and mentor operations coordinators, logistics specialists, and shipping support teams while fostering a high-performance work environment. **Contract and Vendor Management**: Negotiate shipping agreements, evaluate freight contracts, and oversee vendor partnerships to maintain competitive commercial positioning. **Performance Monitoring**:



Track operational KPIs, shipping costs, delivery timelines, and client satisfaction metrics while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. **Risk and Compliance Management**: Ensure all commercial shipping activities comply with maritime laws, environmental standards, customs procedures, and company safety protocols. **What We Are Looking For**:
**Experience**: 7+ years of experience in commercial shipping, maritime logistics, freight operations, or international trade management, including leadership responsibilities. **Industry Knowledge**: Strong understanding of shipping operations, cargo management, maritime regulations, freight coordination, and international logistics procedures. **Leadership Skills**: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage operational priorities, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships in fast-paced environments. **Communication Skills**: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across international business networks. **Technology**: Experience using shipping management systems, logistics software, ERP platforms, and operational reporting tools. **Language Skills**: Italian and English professional proficiency preferred to support international communication and regional operations. **Mindset**: You are proactive, commercially driven, and highly organized.
