Senior Field Operations Engineer
Position Summary The Senior Field Operations Engineer is responsible for leading the execution of complex industrial field projects worldwide, ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
The role combines technical expertise, field leadership and project execution. The successful candidate will progressively become team leader of the field team coordinating field teams, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous
improvement of operational practices.
Key Responsibilities • Lead multidisciplinary field teams during execution of industrial projects.
• Plan and coordinate field activities with customers and internal departments.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and customer procedures.
• Supervise installation, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting of industrial process equipment • Perform and supervise mechanical assembly,
electrical connections, instrumentation verification and system testing.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues under demanding field conditions.
• Interface directly with customer operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and field reports.
• Support equipment maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train, coach and mentor junior field personnel.
Required Experience • Minimum 2–4 years of industrial field experience. • Proven experience leading teams in complex industrial environments. • Experience during plant shutdowns, commissioning or maintenance activities. • Experience operating at customer sites with demanding HSE standards.
Technical Background Candidates should demonstrate practical experience in several of the following areas: • Mechanical equipment • Industrial electrical systems, priority on electrical control panel • Instrumentation • Pumps, valves and piping • Process equipment • Industrial troubleshooting
Preferred Industry Experience • Oil & Gas • Petrochemical • Chemical • Power Generation • EPC • Industrial Field Services • Process Industries
Leadership & Personal Attributes • Strong leadership capability and ability to lead by example. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams under demanding conditions. • Strong customer orientation and communication skills. • The ideal candidate enjoys working in the field rather than in the office, is comfortable taking ownership under demanding conditions, and naturally leads teams by example.
Languages • Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory. xdwybme • Additional languages are considered an advantage.
Travel Requirements • Availability for extensive international travel (up to 70%). • Availability to work during plant shutdowns, including weekends and extended shifts when required
