pOur client, an international leading QSR company currently undergoing a major expansion across Italy, is looking for a bSenior Construction Manager /b to lead the execution of new openings across Italy, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to the required quality standards. /ppReporting directly to the bGroup Expansion Construction Director /b, this role will be responsible for overseeing external engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the construction process, from planning and permitting through to completion and opening. /ppThis is a bhighly operational, hands-on role /b, ideal for a senior construction professional coming from a contractor/construction company environment and looking to take the next step into an in-house position. /ppbr/ppbRESPONSIBILITIES /b /pulliLead and oversee construction projects and new openings across Italy. /liliCoordinate and manage external engineering firms, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. /liliEnsure project milestones and opening deadlines are achieved. /liliMonitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve issues. /liliOversee permitting and ensure all required licenses and authorisations are obtained. /liliManage CAPEX, budgets, costs and potential deviations. /liliEnsure compliance with construction, quality, health safety and company standards. /liliWork closely with Expansion and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from construction to opening. /liliVisit construction sites regularly and maintain close control of execution. /liliBuild strong relationships with external partners and ensure their performance meets expectations. /liliLead and support the existing Construction team.
/liliHelp develop and improve construction processes and ways of working as the business continues to expand. /li /ulpbr/ppbREQUIREMENTS /b /pulliDegree or technical qualification in bEngineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field /b. /liliAround b15 years of experience in construction and site management /b. /liliSolid experience gained within a bconstruction company, contractor or general contractor environment /b. /liliStrong hands-on experience in construction execution and site management. /liliProven experience managing contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, budgets and project timelines. /liliExperience in bfast-track construction, fit-out, retail, hospitality, restaurants, supermarkets or other multi-site environments /b will be highly valued. /liliExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously. /liliGood knowledge of permitting, construction processes and site operations. /lilibFluent Italian and professional English /b are required. /liliWillingness and availability to btravel extensively across Italy /b. /liliStrong leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills. /liliPragmatic, proactive and execution-oriented mindset. /li /ulpbr/ppbWhat we are looking for /b /ppbr/ppWe are looking for someone who is comfortable bbeing close to the construction site /b, solving problems and making things happen.
