Prysmian is looking for a Quality Engineer to work in the Bishopstoke factory within manufacturing of power and telecommunication cable accessories. As a Quality Engineer, you will have a broad range of responsibilities to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring, testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality.

The role requires a high level of both hands‑on and soft skills, such as teamwork, communication, leadership and coordination competencies. Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures. Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues.

Support managing supplier quality issues. Driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D, A3, FMEA, involving cross‑functional teams when required. ISO) and customer audits. Monitoring quality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims, time to close quality investigations.

Analysing quality data to identify data‑driven improvement opportunities. Maintaining and updating quality management system documentation, in coordination with the UK Quality Management System Manager. Ensuring all tests and inspections on raw materials, components and finished products are conducted.

Ensuring measurement and test equipment is maintained and calibrated as required. Ensuring execution of factory quick process audits according to Prysmian rules, ensuring corrective actions are addressed and followed. An experienced senior quality engineer with a hands‑on and can‑do attitude, able to drive improvement projects in a fast‑pace manufacturing environment.

Someone with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to details, proficient in quality standards,



test methodologies and statistical analysis tools. Someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and document findings clearly. We are looking for a senior quality professional with an educational background in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent work experience in quality in a manufacturing environment; Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification is advantageous.
