Overview

As Lead Infrastructure Configuration Engineer, you drive the definition, governance and deployment of product configuration infrastructure to support engineering standards and project needs. You partner across Systems Engineering, Design, and template owners to create and maintain engineering templates, BOMs and related documentation. You continuously improve configuration rules to enable reusable, cost-efficient product configurations within PLM/ERP ecosystems. You lead change management, ensure data integrity, and mentor the team to advance a digital, model-based engineering environment.

Responsabilità

- Define, govern and deploy configuration infrastructure aligned with engineering standards and project priorities
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Design, and template owners to create and maintain engineering templates and related documentation
- Define and improve configuration rules to enable reusable product configurations and efficient supply chain strategies
- Ensure configuration data, docs, and deliverables are accurate, traceable and compliant with governance
- Maintain templates, procedures, and work instructions per standards; update as needed
- Coordinate customer documentation exchange systems and integration with PLM and ERP
- Lead feedback analysis from requisition projects and translate into template updates




- Manage change activities for engineering templates and configuration processes with proper governance and approvals
- Analyze data to monitor progress, risks, and opportunities across infrastructure activities
- Identify opportunities for process, tool and governance improvements and promote digital engineering
- Communicate progress and risk to leadership and stakeholders; participate in technical reviews
- Coordinate external providers for solutions within digital/product lifecycle tools, ensuring governance compliance
- Coach team members to foster collaboration, accountability and a one-team mindset

Requisiti fondamentali

- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Solid understanding of Baker Hughes products, systems, and engineering processes or ability to rapidly acquire it
- Experience with product lifecycle management, configuration management, engineering documentation, quality planning or related digital engineering processes
- Proven technical leadership and ability to influence in a matrixed, cross-functional organization
- Ability to manage projects, priorities, risks and stakeholder expectations
- Comfort with ambiguity, change, innovation and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical mindset, data analysis and structured problem-solving
- Excellent oral and written English communication; ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, Projects and Digital Technology
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration, automation and data visualization tools (preferred)
