The Commissioning Manager is tasked with developing departmental plans, including business, production, and organizational priorities. The Commissioning Manager multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. The Commissioning Manager directly impacts business results by supporting and function-specific projects, products, services, and technologies and developing policies and plans.

Provide leadership to managers and professional staff
Accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams
Develop departmental plans, including business, production, and/or organizational priorities
Assign staffing for the departmental positions on projects and proposals
Responsible for administrative and technical management of the commissioning Department
Identify performance gaps and correct including systems, equipment, and people resources
Ensure work is being coordinated between the other disciplines, offices, fabrication,
and construction to meet project requirements
Manage the technical execution to support the business considerations established for the project
Responsible for the administration and technical management of the department
Collect/identify training requests/needs, review for justification, and facilitate implementation
Support recruitment activities for the department
Assure good team spirit in the department
Identify high potentials and support the effort of providing them with suitable career opportunities
Propose salary increases upon request of company management
Support the execution plan preparation of every project
Assign resources to projects and proposals
Stay up-to-date with the status of all projects through the Lead Engineer
Ensure execution of PEA reviews and IDRs on projects
Support proposals as required
Prepare or approve man-hours estimates
