Automation System Engineer
Compensation & Location
Salary: €50,000–€55,000 annually - With Benefits - Location: Campania, Italy - 5 days Onsite - Travel: May be required
Job Summary
We are seeking an Automation System Engineer to join a managed services team supporting and improving GMP manufacturing and automation systems. The role will focus on automation system support, PLC/SCADA troubleshooting, IT/OT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system qualification, disaster recovery, and the implementation of new and upgraded automation systems.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong Automation experience within a GMP environment.
- Strong knowledge of Siemens, MES, OSI-PI, and/or General Process Control.
- Hands-on knowledge of PLC/SCADA, automation hardware, and industrial networking.
- IT Security/Cybersecurity experience.
- Experience with IT backup and Disaster Recovery.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server and Windows operating systems, including Active Directory.
- Basic database administration knowledge.
- Strong competency in IT/OT infrastructure.
- Ability to assess the criticality of application support issues and prioritize accordingly.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or equivalent work experience.
