In this role, you will support the FAO Ethics Office by helping to shape policy, review cases and advise on conflicts of interest and retaliation. You will contribute to policy development, training, and outreach to promote ethical principles across the Organization. The position involves collaborating with internal units and external stakeholders to implement policies in field reality while upholding integrity and confidentiality. This assignment offers opportunities to influence FAO-wide ethics standards and strengthen accountability.
- Support formulation of FAO-wide policies and procedures on Ethics matters aligned with FAO strategy and UN Reform
- Review and support standard setting and policy implementation across departments and field offices
- Review individual cases and provide guidance on conflicts of interest and retaliation issues
- Provide preliminary assessments and recommendations for retaliation complaints
- Monitor developments in organizational ethics and suggest policy improvements
- Develop internal and public outreach materials to raise awareness of ethics principles
- Support development of ethics training materials and programmes
- Prepare project documents, administrative reports, presentations and webinars for staff and management
- Perform any other tasks related to the Ethics Office mandate
- Advanced degree in relevant field; or Bachelor with 2 extra years of relevant experience
- 1 year of experience for category C or 5 years for category B in ethics, compliance, UN admin law, policy drafting and development, risk assessment and management
- Working knowledge of English (level C)
- Experience within a UN/multilateral organization is an asset
