Education
Graduate from an accredited program for medical assistants with one year in a medical office setting preferred.
If not a graduate from a medical assisting program, then three years' experience in a medical office setting is required.
Experience / Qualifications
Medical Assistance Certification preferred.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
Knowledge of the outpatient practice of medicine.
Must have experience in medical assisting.
Knowledge of medical practice, patient care skills, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Must possess computer skills and customer service skills.
Capable of making sound decisions.
Detail oriented and self-motivated.
