Job Description Summary In this role you will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation, select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. You will leverage knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others and you will be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
- Act as primary interface between suppliers and GE Avio Aero for any quality issues
- Collaborate with Sourcing and Engineering, Manufacturing to eliminate roadblocks and barrier
- Develop compliance solutions to complex problems
- Lead RCCA process
- Approve supplier selection through robust qualification processes and part qualification
- Ensure quality requirements, including technical regulation and standards by owning the surveillance and perform quality audits
- Proactive monitoring of the performance of suppliers to ensure that they remain in a state of control
- Leading the effort to drive improvement and for the development & assessment of quality metrics, KPIs and reports associated with suppliers
- Suppliers' Quality Plan implementation
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mechanics or Materials/Chemical engineering with metallurgical orientation
- Previous experience in the same role in automotive or aerospace companies
- Experience with forging and casting process
- Ability to read fluently technical drawing and regulations
- Basic knowledge of Quality tools
- Deep knowledge of APQP
- Base knowledge of measurement method and inspection technique
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Availability to frequent travel, EU and extra EU
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
