OPERATIONS MANAGER – ITALYAbout The Role
Based in our Milan Office !
We are looking for a senior Operations Manager – Italy to own and drive the commercial performance of the Italian market from a product, stock and operations perspective.
This role is a key individual contributor position, with full ownership of the Italian market, working closely with stores, Area Managers and HQ.
You will act as the voice of the market, translating customer behaviour, store feedback and performance data into concrete actions and insights for HQ.
The position reports to the Head of Merchandise Planning, based in Basel.
What You Will Do
- Own the allocation and distribution of stock across the Italian store network
- Analyse weekly sales, stock levels and performance by store, area, category and price point
- Identify what works and what doesn’t from a product and commercial perspective, and structure clear feedback for HQ
- Work closely with Area Managers to gather retail input and translate it into operational actions
- Support and propose promotional strategies, including markdowns and seasonal sales
- Analyse price points and customer response to maximise commercial performance
- Maximise best sellers through reallocation, replenishment and focused actions
- Monitor slow movers and define corrective measures in close collaboration with HQ
- Contribute to assortment decisions for new store openings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Planning, Merchandising, Logistics and Retail teams
- Ensure stock efficiency, sell-through optimisation and strong commercial results for the Italian market
What You Bring
- Solid experience in Operations, Allocation, Merchandising, Planning or Retail Operations within fashion retail
- Background in fast fashion or trend-driven retail environments similar to TALLY WEiJL
- Strong analytical skills with a clear commercial mindset
- Hands-on experience with stock management, promotions, pricing and seasonal sales
- Ability to understand the customer and translate insights into business actions
- Experience working with store networks and retail stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with numbers and reports xysqume
- Ability to operate autonomously with full ownership of a market
