Business Development Director – Italy

Are you a commercially driven Business Development Director with a strong network across the Italian pharmaceutical and life sciences market?
I am partnering with a global logistics company seeking for an experienced commercial leader to drive growth across Italy and build strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences organisations. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a global organisation at the forefront of clinical supply chain, helping pharmaceutical and biotech companies move critical therapies, clinical materials and biological samples safely and compliantly around the world.
The Opportunity
As Business Development Director you will take ownership of developing and executing the commercial strategy for your territory in Italy.
You’ll be a hunter by nature, bringing your expertise in new business development to this role, bringing clients in need of clinical trial logistics solutions.
What the role will look like
- Develop and execute the Italian business development strategy
- You will have a background of selling into CRO’s and Biotech companies
- Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across Pharma & Biotech
- Develop and manage a strong commercial pipeline
- Lead complex sales processes from prospecting through to contract close
- Expand existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth
- Represent at industry events, conferences and customer meetings
- Partner with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop compelling solutions
- Maintain a strong understanding of the clinical supply chain, pharmaceutical logistics and competitive landscape
? What we're looking for
We're interested in speaking with experienced commercial professionals who bring:
✅ A strong track record in Business Development / Strategic Sales within pharma, biotech, clinical supply chain, CRO, healthcare logistics or related life sciences services
✅ An established network across the Italian pharmaceutical and biotech market
✅ Fluent in both Italian and English
